Erin McClelland is a healthcare professional, behavioral healthcare expert, businesswoman and a lifelong Democrat. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field and has worked as an Executive Director, researcher, process improvement specialist, policy representative and entrepreneur.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and her Master’s of Science degree from Chatham University.
As the Practice Improvement Collaborative Manager at the Institute of Research Education and Training in Addiction she was trained by the Pittsburgh Regional Healthcare Initiative under the direction of former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill to implement forward-thinking systems in healthcare to reduce waste and errors, improve performance, and decrease costs.
As an addiction expert she served on the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy's 25 Cities Initiative, addressing heroin addiction in Western PA. Erin has also been published as a health writer and featured as a healthcare expert numerous times on broadcast news.
Erin stands with the working families of Western PA, and believes they deserve better. She believes the Democratic party must strive to represent voters from all geographical backgrounds.
